General Questions
Do I need any prior experience to join the class?
No prior experience is necessary. Our classes are designed to support beginners and experienced meditators alike.
What should I wear?
You can come as you are, as long as you can breathe comfortably. You will be seated upright in a chair, comfortably. If you prefer to sit on the floor with a cushion, you’re welcome to bring on, but it is not required.
Do I need to bring anything?
You don’t need to bring anything, but if you’d like to bring a journal to jot down your reflections after the meditation, feel free to do so. It can be a helpful tool for tracking your progress and insights.
What type of meditation do you teach?
Our practice blends ancient mindfulness techniques with modern neurolinguistic programming to help you achieve relaxation, focus, and stillness. It includes body relaxation, mindfulness, guided visualization, and cultivating a quiet mind.
How long is the class?
Each session lasts about one hour, including time for relaxation, guided meditation, and reflection.
During the Class
What if I can’t stop my thoughts or quiet my mind?
This is completely normal! Meditation is a practice, and with regular sessions, it becomes easier. We’ll teach techniques to gently guide your mind back to stillness.
Can I sit in a chair instead of on the floor?
Yes, in fact we recommend sitting upright in a chair. If you prefer to sit on the floor, we recommend bringing your own cushion.
What if I fall asleep during meditation?
This happens occasionally, especially if you’re very relaxed. If it happens, it’s a sign your body needed rest.
Benefits & Outcomes
How often should I meditate to see benefits?
While once a week is a great start, practicing even a few minutes daily will maximize benefits like stress relief, improved focus, and better sleep.
How soon will I notice results?
Many people feel more relaxed and focused after their first session. Long-term benefits, like reduced stress and improved mindfulness, build with consistent practice.
